About lyrics.sh

lyrics.sh is a catalog of songs, starting with Hindi film music, built around one idea: every singer, composer and lyricist should be credited correctly.

How songs are added

Each song's film, release year, singers, music director and lyricist are checked against the film's published Wikipedia article, and its soundtrack article where there is one, before the page goes live. The page cites the exact revision checked and the date. Songs that fail the check are held back until a person confirms them.

Lyrics

Lyrics are published only where they are licensed, and each lyrics section names its licence. The catalog shows which songs have lyrics.

Who runs it
